Hand Grenade Found On Side Of Road In Hudson Valley Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after a hand grenade was found on the side of a roadway. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, in the area of 110 W. Crooked Hill Road in Orangetown. According to Capt. Michael Shannon of the Orangetown Police, the Rockland County Sheriff's Bomb Squad, along with the Pearl River Fire Department and ambulance squad, responded to the scene. Crash In Region Sends 1 To Hospital, Police Looking For Witnesses A person was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Hudson Valley intersection. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road.
