E-Bike Rider Killed In Early-Morning Crash At LI Intersection
An early-morning crash in Medford claimed the life of a 35-year-old e-bike operator. The wreck happened at the intersection of Route 112 and Woodside Avenue at around 6:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, according to Suffolk County Police. Gilberto Guilbe, of Far Rockaway, was riding an e-bike eastbound on Woodside Avenue when he collided with a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling north on Route 112, police said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Two Trucks On Sunrise Highway
A 60-year-old man was killed after being hit by two trucks while crossing Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst. The crash happened shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Buffalo Avenue, according to Suffolk County Police. Mariano Diaz-Pichardo was walking his bicycle across the highway when a Hino box truck tried to swerve to avoid him but struck the bike. He was then hit by a Ford F550, according to investigators. A 71-year-old Riverhead man was seriously injured after his motorcycle crashed into a Department of Transportation truck closing lanes for construction on the Long Island Expressway, Suffolk County Police announced on Monday, Aug. 4. Man Struck By Pickup Truck In Hicksville
A man was hospitalized after being struck by a truck on Long Island. The accident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 13, around 5:55 p.m. on Jerusalem Avenue near Nelson Avenue in Hicksville, according to Nassau County police. Police reported that a 64-year-old man driving a 2005 Nissan pickup truck southbound on Jerusalem Avenue hit a 59-year-old man crossing the road. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The driver remained at the scene, and no additional injuries were reported.

Cargo Truck Hits, Kills 44-Year-Old Man In Baldwin
A man died after being struck by a vehicle on Long Island. The incident happened in Baldwin, on Coes Neck Road, at around 6:20 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18. Nassau County Police said a cargo truck was driving near the intersection of Notre Dame Court when it swerved to avoid a car backing into the roadway and struck a 44-year-old man walking on the shoulder. The deadly wreck happened at around 7 a.m. Friday, May 31, in Calverton, on the eastbound I-495 exit 71 ramp to Edwards Avenue.
