A 19-year-old man will spend years in prison for a high-speed crash that killed a teenage girl and seriously injured her brother in upstate New York. Everhett Hatlee, of Troy, was sentenced to five to 15 years behind bars in Saratoga County Court on Friday, Sept. 5, after pleading guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide. A driver was killed when a tractor-trailer slammed into a vacant home in upstate New York. The Rensselaer County wreck happened in the town of Brunswick, along State Route 2, just before 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28. Two children were hurt in upstate New York after an explosion caused by improperly discarded fireworks, police said. The Rensselaer County incident happened around 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at a Troy residence on O’Neil Street, according to Troy Police.
