A deadly wrong-way crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike has led to the arrest of an Allentown woman more than a year later.
Onanyeli Rosario-Mesa, 25, originally of the Bronx, NY, but most recently from Perth Amboy, NJ, was taken into custody after previously remaining at large in connection with the fatal crash that killed John Joseph Sweeney Jr., 50, prosecutors announced on Wednesday, May 6.

Michael Bonner, 40, was indicted Thursday for the death of Narcizo de Jesus Guerra Lopez, 66, on Wednesday, March 25 in Freeport, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office said.

A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Long Island, authorities announced.
Daniel Verbeke, 21, of Babylon, died after his motorcycle left the roadway on Wading River Road in Manorville, Suffolk County Police said on Saturday, April 4.
Verbeke was operating a 2026 Yamaha just south of Maple Lane when he lost control and struck a boulder and a mailbox at 1:56 p.m., according to police.
He was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

A Department of Transportation employee was seriously injured while setting up traffic cones on the Long Island Expressway, Suffolk County Police announced on Friday, Feb. 27.
Highway Patrol units were dispatched to the eastbound lanes near Exit 63 in Holtsville for a report of an overturned vehicle at 9:41 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, according to the release.

A woman was killed in a violent single-vehicle crash on Long Island, police announced on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Ruth Ellerd, 66, of Ridge, was driving a 2017 Honda HRV southbound on Rocky Point Yaphank Road, about a half-mile north of Whiskey Road in Rocky Point, when her vehicle suddenly left the roadway and hit a tree on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at approximately 8:50 p.m., detectives said.
She was transported by Rocky Point Rescue to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to the release.

A Selden man has been arrested after a hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian on Boyle Road, Suffolk County Police said.
Lan Huynh Truong, 44, of Denise Court, was charged Thursday, Nov. 6, with Leaving the Scene of an Accident following the crash that killed 37-year-old Victoria Hutson, also of Selden.
Hutson was walking southbound in front of 53 Boyle Road when she was hit by a 2016 Toyota Camry around 11:21 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, investigators said. The driver fled the scene before officers arrived.
Hutson was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
