A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a sedan in Levittown, Nassau County police announced on Monday, June 16. The deadly collision happened on Hempstead Turnpike near Division Avenue just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, according to detectives with the Homicide Squad. The motorcyclist was riding a 2007 Suzuki westbound on Hempstead Turnpike when a 61-year-old man driving a 2017 Ford Fusion eastbound attempted a left-hand turn onto Division Avenue, the police explained. Motorcyclist Killed After Hitting Guardrail On Long Island: Police
A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed after losing control and crashing on Long Island, authorities said. Airton Santos-Alexandre, of Medford, was riding a 2015 Suzuki GSX-R750 on southbound Nicolls Road in Stony Brook when he lost control and struck a guardrail around 11:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, according to a release from the Suffolk County Police Department. The impact ejected Santos-Alexandre from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check, and the crash remains under investigation by Sixth Squad detectives.

17-Year-Old Killed In Uniondale Crash
Police are investigating a single-vehicle Long Island crash that claimed the life of a teen. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1 in Uniondale. A 17-year-old boy was riding a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard near the Cradle of Aviation Museum when he hit a curb and was thrown from the vehicle, as reported by Nassau County Police. The boy suffered major injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician. His name has not yet been released. No other injuries were reported. The identity has been released of the victim of a fatal two-vehicle Long Island crash. It happened around 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, in Old Brookville. A 45-year-old man operating a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle traveling westbound, was involved in the collision with a 65-year-old man operating a 2022 GMC pickup truck traveling eastbound on Northern Boulevard near Hickory Road.
