A 23-year-old woman was seriously injured after her scooter collided with a car and triggered a chain-reaction crash in Hauppauge, Suffolk County Police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The Brentwood woman was traveling north on Washington Avenue when she attempted to make a left turn onto Motor Parkway at 3:42 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, police said. She collided with a 2010 Chevrolet driven eastbound on Motor Parkway by German Castro Penuelas, 25, of Brentwood. A 12-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by an SUV while riding a scooter on Long Island. The crash happened in Wantagh, at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Old Mill Road, at around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, Nassau County Police said. The boy was heading east on Sunrise Highway, attempting to cross Old Mill Road on a scooter, when he was hit by a Honda SUV. Teen On Scooter Seriously Injured In Crash On Long Island: Police
A teenager was seriously injured after being struck by a car while riding a scooter in Huntington Station, police announced on Sunday, March 2. The 18-year-old was riding an eastbound Segue scooter on New York Avenue near East 13th Street when he was hit by a 2022 Honda Accord at approximately 1 p.m., according to Suffolk County Police. Brentwood Teen Airlifted After Crash At Medford Gas Station
A person was seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash in front of a Long Island gas station. It happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 10. A 19-year-old was riding a motorized scooter northbound on the sidewalk of Route 112 in Medford when he crashed into the passenger side of a 2021 Dodge Durango.
