A Glenville woman is accused of drunkenly striking and pinning a pedestrian under her vehicle in Malta, New York, State Police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 10. The incident happened in a parking lot on Hemphill Place at about 10:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, according to police. Troopers said a pedestrian was trapped beneath the vehicle until crews from the Malta Stillwater Fire Department removed them. A New York man is facing animal abuse charges after allegedly beating his dog so badly the animal had trouble relieving itself, police said. Saratoga County deputies responded to a Malta residence on Knabner Road following an animal complaint on Thursday, Aug. 28, according to sheriff’s officials.
