Nassau County Police responded to the New Hyde Park Target store on Union Turnpike for an attempted shoplifting at around 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, the agency said. Employees told police that Yunzhi Xie, 43, had attempted to exit the store with unpaid merchandise. Nassau County 14-Year-Old Has Been Missing For 10 Days Police are asking for help in locating a Long Island teenager who has been missing for over a week. Edwin Palacios Umana, age 14, was last seen at his Lakeview residence on Wadleigh Avenue at around 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5. Umana is 5-foot-3 and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police said he may have traveled to Flushing, Queens. Anyone with information is asked to contact Nassau County Police at 516-573-7347 or call 911.
