Maria Rubino Passed Out Drunk At LI Day Care: Police A Long Island daycare worker was arrested after she passed out while intoxicated, leaving five infants in her care, Suffolk County police announced on Monday, Feb. 10. Maria Rubino, 38, of Great Neck, was supervising children between four months and 18 months old at Pride and Joy Childcare in Babylon when she fainted at approximately 12:40 p.m., authorities said. Paramedics responding to the scene smelled alcohol on Rubino’s breath and noted signs of intoxication by drugs and/or alcohol, police said. Flames broke out at a two-story residence, located in Lindenhurst on 51st Street, at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.
