Man Breaks Into Woman’s Home, Pushes Her Down Stairs During Violent Fight In Nassau County
A Long Beach man is accused of breaking into a woman’s home and violently attacking her during a domestic incident in East Hills, police announced on Sunday, April 26.
Shawn Morgenroth, 43, unlawfully entered a Canterbury Lane residence around 5:28 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, according to detectives. Once inside, he got into a verbal argument with a 39-year-old woman and forcibly took her cell phone, police said.
The situation escalated when Morgenroth physically blocked the victim from leaving the home and pushed her down a flight of stairs, causing injuries, authorities detailed.

Dragged Woman Out Of Restaurant, Stole Her Phone, Drove Off With Her Inside Car: Nassau Police
A man is accused of dragging a woman out of a Long Island restaurant, stealing her phone, and driving off with her still inside his car, police said.
Syed Ibrahim Ali, 25, of Syosset, was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of 1029 Oyster Bay Road, East Norwich, Nassau County police said.
Detectives did not say whether Ali and the 30-year-old woman knew each other, but said the disturbance escalated when he “dragged the victim out of the restaurant and pinned her to the ground.”

Cocaine was found during a late-night inspection at a deli on Friday, Nov. 21, police said.
Second Precinct Crime Section officers joined the New York State Liquor Authority, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and Town of Huntington Code Enforcement for an SLA inspection at Las Lajas Deli, located at 156 Depot Road at 11:04 p.m., according to Suffolk County Police.
During the inspection, officers arrested the deli’s manager and two patrons.

A Long Island man who reportedly violated a restraining order was arrested and injured a police officer in the process.
It happened in Roosevelt on Wednesday, June 19, Nassau County Police said.
Just before 6 p.m., 30-year-old Shabaz Hall allegedly broke into the home of someone who had a restraining order against him.
Police soon arrived at the scene to arrest Hall; however, during the course of the arrest, authorities said that Hall was violent and combative.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on charges including robbery after he allegedly punched a woman in the face before taking her phone and wallet.
The North Lawrence incident occurred on Tuesday, May 28, Nassau County Police said.
Just after 1:30 p.m., Ronald E. Bellamy of Far Rockaway, Queens, reportedly got into a fight with a 24-year-old woman at the Five Towns Shopping Center, located at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike.
