Fire and aid crews were dispatched to the Wantagh State Parkway in East Meadow for a car fire in the southbound lanes near Stewart Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. All but one of the eastbound lanes were blocked by emergency responders, Department of Transportation cameras showed.
