Ghost Guns, Assault Rifle Found: Cousins Indicted In Firearms Bust, Nassau DA Says
Two men are accused of trafficking and selling ghost guns and other firearms in Nassau County, prosecutors announced on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
Rubenny Torres Duran, 29, of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, and his cousin, Jose Torres Moncion, 29, of Kings County, New York, were indicted after an investigation into illegal gun sales in Freeport and Baldwin between April and May 2025, according to Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly.

A college freshman on spring break is now facing federal charges after allegedly tossing a Molotov cocktail at a Tesla dealership, torching two Cybertrucks in a late-night firebombing.
Owen McIntire, 19, of Kansas City, Missouri, who attends college in Boston, was arrested and appeared in federal court in Massachusetts on Friday, April 18.
