Wilson signed a one-year contract with the New York Giants to be their starting quarterback. Wilson won Super Bowl XLVIII at Met Life Stadium while playing for the Seattle Seahawks.
The 10-time Pro Bowler spent last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though the Steelers got off to a hot start, they ended the season losing five in a row and were blown out in the playoffs.
Big Blue also recently signed former #1 pick Jameis Winston, who will presumably be their backup quarterback. Cedar Grove resident Tommy DeVito a.k.a. Tommy Cutlets is their other quarterback on the roster.
Last year, the Giants struggled to a 3-14 record. General manager Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll are said to be on the hot seat entering the 2025 season.
Despite signing Wilson and Winston, the Giants are said to be in the market for a quarterback in the NFL Draft, where they have the 3rd overall pick.
