Three employees were arrested after allegedly selling alcohol to minors at Long Island businesses. Riverhead Town Police conducted compliance checks at 15 businesses in Riverhead and Wading River on Monday, June 10. Of those, violations were reported at three stores. Suspect Makes Off With Money, Cash Register In Wading River Deli Burglary
A suspect is at large after a Memorial Day burglary at a Long Island deli. It happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday, May 27 in Wading River. The owner of the Nik's Nook Deli, located at 737 Hulse Landing Road, Wading River contacted the Riverhead Police Department to report a burglary in progress. Patrol officers responded and discovered that an unknown person had broken the front door window and entered the building. 4 Canoers Rescued From Long Island Sound After Capazing
Four canoers were rescued from Long Island Sound after capsizing The incident occurred off Wading River around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21. According to the Suffolk County Police, the four boaters were almost a mile north of Wading River Beach when the two canoes capsized, and the occupants went overboard into 58-degree water. One of the boaters called 911, and Aviation Section officers found the people in the water and directed Marine Bureau officers to their location.
