1 Seriously Injured In Overnight Ronkonkoma Crash One person suffered severe injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in Ronkonkoma. A 60-year-old Ronkonkoma man was driving a 2015 Kia sedan southbound on Ocean Avenue when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at the intersection of Johnson Avenue. The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man from Daly City, California, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.  The driver of the Kia was not injured.
