Suffolk Kidnapper Told 4-Year-Old Girl About ‘Secret Room’ In Library, Authorities Say A Long Island man charged with kidnapping a 4-year-old girl told her he would take her to a “secret room” inside a local library, authorities said Thursday, May 14. Carlos Corte, 38, was arraigned Thursday on second-degree kidnapping and child endangerment charges, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said. Corte was first arrested on the day of the alleged kidnapping, Saturday, March 28, in Patchogue. Man Fatally Electrocuted Working At Yale Golf Course ID'd As 54-Year-Old Grandfather Police have identified the man who was fatally electrocuted while working at the Yale Golf Course last month as a 54-year-old New Haven grandfather. Luís Alberto Marcatoma was working on a restoration project at the New Haven course on Aug. 21 when a downed power line electrocuted him, Yale Public Safety Chief Duane Lovello has said.
