Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager from Long Island. Keyri Rodriguez, age 15, was last seen at Hempstead High School at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, according to Nassau County Police. Relatives reported her missing that evening. Alan Anderson, age 55, of Oakdale, pleaded guilty for possessing and submitting forged doctor notes to his employer in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Prosecutors said Anderson, an employee at the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), submitted 12 fraudulent doctor notes between February and May 2024 in order to avoid having to commute to his scheduled in-person workdays in Manhattan. Upcoming roadwork could slow Long Island drivers. Multiple lanes of eastbound Long Island Expressway will undergo overnight closures in the town of Islip and Brookhaven beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
