Students At Kellenberg HS Forced To Wait Outside As Police Search For Bombs Police on Long Island say the bomb threat made against a high school was a hoax.  Kellenberg Memorial High School, at 1400 Glenn Curtiss Blvd., in Uniondale was alerted to the call just after 7 a.m., Nassau County authorities said.  The call was made anonymously to the 988 Lifeline, a suicide and crisis hotline. The caller claimed to have planted bombs around the school grounds.  Police and Homeland Security agents had teachers and students wait outside until they deemed the area safe.  Officers are investigating who made the call.

Teen In Critical Condition Following Long Island Crash A 17-year-old was airlifted to a nearby hospital after a freeway crash, police said. It happened in Plainview on Tuesday, July 2. According to Nassau County Police, the teen boy was driving north on Route 135 in a 1998 Toyota Corolla. Just before 4:15 p.m., he collided with a 26-year-old woman, also driving north, in a 2013 Range Rover. He was taken via helicopter to a local hospital for treatment, where he is currently listed in critical condition. The other driver remained at the scene and no other injuries were reported. It happened at about 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 17 in Southampton. According to local police, the Southampton Town Justice Court received multiple emails regarding a bomb threat. The threats prompted officers, detectives, and K-9 units to check the court and surrounding areas, which determined the area to be clear. Investigators said the email may have originated from outside the United States and is not linked to the Southampton Court. However, police said the investigation will remain ongoing.
