Gunfire Breaks Out During Group Fight In Poughkeepsie, Police Gunfire broke out during a fight in broad daylight in Poughkeepsie early Thursday afternoon, June 28. Police received a phone call around 1:30 p.m. regarding shots fired at 120 Hudson Ave., near Building 1, Detective Sgt. George Camacho of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said. The caller reported that the shooter and several subjects left the scene in a green, Ford Explorer. A short time later, the vehicle was located on Dubois Avenue by officers.
