28-Year-Old Overdose Victim Saved After Hudson Valley Crash A man overdosing on opioids was saved by first responders after he lost control of his car and crashed into another vehicle.  The incident took place Sunday afternoon when Cameron J. Petersen, 28, of Poughkeepsie, was driving westbound on Route 376 in the Town of Poughkeepsie when he crossed over into oncoming traffic near Red Oaks Mill Road and hit a vehicle with two people inside, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Dutchess Legend Charles Edward Conklin, 91, Businessman, Benefactor Charles “Charlie” Edward Conklin, 91, of Pleasant Valley and Vero Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, Jan. 30 of natural causes at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.  He was a successful businessman and major benefactor to local colleges, hospitals and other institutions.
