An investigation into threatening emails targeting a Hudson Valley high school led to a felony charge for a minor who is suspected of making terroristic threats. On Wednesday, Feb. 2, state and local police in Orange County launched an investigation into a series of emails that were received by the George F. Baker High School of the Tuxedo Union Free School District threatening violence. School Superintendent In Hudson Valley Resigns Amid Porn Scandal
A school superintendent in the Hudson Valley who was accused of school social media to view and download pornography has resigned. In a statement, on Thursday, Jan. 7, the Tuxedo Union Free School District Board of Education announced it had "finalized a separation agreement with, and accepted the resignation of, Timothy Bohlke." Bohlke is accused of looking at and commenting on a porno video from his work Twitter account. The Tuxedo Union Free School District Board announced that it is aware of allegations against the Superintendent of Schools that he used school social media accounts to look at alleged pornography. "The Superintendent of Schools forcefully denies making this inappropriate post," the district said on Tuesday, Jan. 5. "We are taking the incident very seriously." The Hudson Valley is among the top places to be an educator, with teachers among the highest paid in upstate New York, according to a new report. A new study by Upstate New York determined that the average salary for teachers in New York State is approximately $59,270, though many in the Hudson Valley are earning much more than that.
