A man wanted in New York City for violating parole was nabbed in the Hudson Valley after he allegedly attacked officers and fled on foot.
Anthony Huertas, 36, of the Bronx, was arrested by Monticello Police on Friday, Dec. 28, around 11:55 p.m., when an officer on patrol on Jefferson Street, saw him standing in the middle of the road with a female, said Lt. Mark Johnstone, with the Monticello Police Department.

Monticello Man Nabbed For Robbery Of Cell Phone
An area man has been arrested for his part in the alleged armed robbery of a man attempting to sell his cell phone.
Members of the Monticello police arrested Taleek D. Clark, 18, of Monticello on Thursday, Jan. 3, and charged him with felony attempted robbery and robbery in the second degree for the incident which took place around 6 p.m. Dec. 20, said Lt. Mark Johnstone.

Pair Caught Stealing TV From Area Hotel, Police Say
Two area men were arrested by police after being caught burglarizing a hotel room.
Monticello police arrested Glen Flickenschild, 44, and Joseph Tomasulo, 29, both of Monticello were arrested Friday, Sept. 14, and charged with felony burglary and petit larceny, according to Lt. Mark Johnstone.
According to Johnstone, the two were arrested following an investigation into the burglary of a room located at the Heritage Inn on Broadway in the Village of Monticello on Sept. 9, police said.

Woman Stole More Than $7K at Resorts World Catskills, Police Say
A woman was arrested for stealing more than $7,000 from a guest at the Resorts World Catskills Casino, according to New York State Police.
Andrea Mercer, 33, of the Bronx, was charged with grand larceny Wednesday following an investigation into the theft of the money, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
Mercer, a guest at the casino herself, entered the room of another guest at the casino and stole more than $7,000 from that individual, Nevel said.
Mercer was arraigned remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $7,500 cash bail.
