Youth Gymnastics Coach From Westchester Sentenced As Sex Abuse Victims Speak During Hearing
A former gymnastics coach has been sentenced to four years in prison for sexually abusing several students for years.
Joseph Lewin, 68, of Port Chester, was sentenced on Monday, Sept. 9, after facing his victims during the sentencing at the Rockland County courthouse in New City.
In addition to the four years, Lewin will serve five years post-release supervision, he will have to register as a sexual offender upon release and stay away from his victims, said the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.

Trio Indicted For World Trade Center 'Pay-To-Play' Bribery Scheme, State Attorney General Says
New York Attorney General Letitia James charged three men involved in rebuilding the World Trade Center alleging they engaged in a “pay-to-play" bribery scheme.
“These individuals were trusted with rebuilding the site of the worst terror attack in American history, but instead, allegedly squandered public funds to line their own pockets,” said James in the May 29 announcement.
The individuals charged are James Luckie, 58, of Setauket in Suffolk County; and Michael Garrison, 59, of Stony Point in Rockland County; and Paul Angerame, 59, of Manhattan.

Fugitive From Area Added To FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted List, $100K Reward Offered
The FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted List has a new addition from the area -- Eugene Palmer of Rockland County.
The FBI Westchester County Safe Streets Task Force announced Wednesday, May 29, that Palmer, 80, has been added for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in the alleged murder of his daughter-in-law in September 2012, said the FBI.
Investigators say Palmer allegedly shot and killed Tammy Palmer, 39, outside her home near Willow Grove Road in Stony Point. He then left the scene in a pickup truck, which was later found near Harriman State Park, the FBI said.
