Police Dish Out 52 Tickets In New Detail Along I-684 Corridor
Dozens of tickets were doled out by New York State Police troopers during a special speed enforcement operation in Westchester County along the I-684 corridor. During the detail, which was “conducted in furtherance of (New York State Police’s) mission to ensure highway safety for all users of the roadway,” on Tuesday, Sept. 18, troopers issued a total of 52 tickets for speeding, distracted driving and other vehicle and traffic violations on the interstate. Motorist Driving Nearly 100 MPH Among 88 Ticketed In Latest I-684 Detail
A motorist was busted driving nearly 100 mph in the rain on Wednesday, during a special police detail on I-684 in Westchester. New York State Police troopers dished out dozens of tickets in Bedford, including 67 for speeding during the detail. One motorist was clocked going 99 mph on I-684 during the storms that hit the area. In total, 88 summons were issued. The latest detail comes on the heels of two conducted by state police in the past week, when they dished out more than 150 tickets for distracted driving, speeding, failure to wear a seatbelt and other violations.

“Speed Week” got off to a rousing start this week, as state police troopers doled out scores of tickets during a special speed enforcement detail on I-684 in Westchester. State police issued 57 speeding tickets, five tickets to motorists not wearing seatbelts and 11 other summons for violations of vehicle and traffic law on Thursday. More than 50 tickets were doled out during a special speed enforcement detail conducted by New York State Police troopers on I-684 in northern Westchester on Tuesday. During the special detail on Tuesday, Feb. 6, troopers in Bedford and North Castle busted 31 motorists for speeding on the interstate, and one driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
