17-Year-Old Student Killed In Capital Region Highway Crash
Classmates and loved ones are mourning the loss of a high school senior who was killed in a highway crash in the region just weeks before graduating. Albany County resident Michael Kleinke, a 17-year-old student at Colonie Central High School in Colonie, died Saturday, May 13, according to district Superintendent David Perry. The teen’s death came two days after emergency crews in Bethlehem were called shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, with reports of a two-car crash on Route 85 near the Thruway.
