Rock Slide Ties Up Traffic For Second Time In A Week On Saw Mill River Parkway
The second rock slide in a week temporarily tied up rush hour traffic on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Westchester. The New York State Department of Transportation responded to a stretch of the parkway in Mount Kisco at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, when there was a report of a rock slide that left debris in the right lanes southbound between Kisco Avenue and Route 133. The rock slide was the second of the week in the area, with the first coming on Monday, Jan. 27. Saw Mill Parkway Stretch Reopens After Crash
This story has been updated. A stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway has reopened after a crash involving an overturned vehicle late Thursday afternoon, Nov. 14. The crash, reported just before 4 p.m., was northbound at Quaker Road (Route 120) in New Castle. There were already delays on the roadway after an earlier crash at the entrance to the northbound side of the parkway at Roaring Brook Road in Chappaqua at about 3:15 p.m.

A hit-and-run driver drove into a dead end after taking police on a high-speed chase in Northern Westchester that ended with multiple arrests. Westchester County Police officers were on hand to spot a rollover crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway near Marble Avenue near the Pleasantville/Briarcliff Manor border at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16 in the northbound lanes. A teen in a stolen car took police on a chase on multiple roadways before being nabbed following a foot chase with officers in Northern Westchester. ID Released For Westchester Woman Killed In Saw Mill Parkway Crash
A woman killed in a two-vehicle crash on the Saw Mill Parkway early Sunday, July 21, has been identified as a 29-year-old Westchester resident. Daniella Gore-Johnson of Yonkers was killed around 12:18 a.m., during a collision on the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Hastings-on-Hudson, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2012 Honda Accord was struck in the rear by a 2017 Lexus RC 350 sedan. The collision sent the Honda off the roadway, causing it to strike a tree. Fatal Crash Causes Saw Mill Parkway Closure
A fatal two-vehicle crash led to the hours-long closure of a stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Westchester. It happened just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 21 on the southbound side near Exit 17 (Ashford Avenue) in Dobbs Ferry. The other driver involved was rushed to the Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle. The identity of the person killed has not yet been released.
