Taconic State Parkway Double-Lane Closure Scheduled There will be double lane closures for several days on the Taconic State Parkway for several days. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Wednesday, Dec. 18 through Friday, Dec. 20, there will be two southbound lanes closed on the parkway in Yorktown. Yorktown Police say they initiated a traffic stop after observing a driver failing to keep right on the Taconic State Parkway southbound on the ramp from Route 202 on Saturday, Aug. 10 around 8 a.m. The driver, identified as Abraham Kiryako, 30, of Yonkers, was found to be in possession of an unspecified illicit substance, police say. Route 202 Stretch Reopens After Crash A stretch of Route 202 near the borders of Westchester, Putnam and Orange counties reopened early Saturday afternoon after a serious crash caused its hours-long closure in Cortlandt. The two-vehicle crash, with injuries, occurred on the stretch of Bear Mountain Bridge Road between the Scenic Overlook and Camp Smith Drive at around 10 a.m. The closure was between the Bear Mountain Bridge and Annsville Circle.
