Sewage Truck Overturns, Spills Contents On I-684
Traffic on a busy Northern Westchester interstate was backed up for miles following a crash involving a sewage truck that resulted in two people being hospitalized. The incident happened on Thursday, Sept. 5, just before 2 p.m., when three vehicles collided on Interstate 684 South just south of the Route 138 overpass in Goldens Bridge, according to the Goldens Bridge Fire Department. Multi-Car Crash Involving Overturned Vehicle Causes Stop-Go I-684 Delays
A multi-car crash involving an overturned vehicle is causing stop-and-go delays on I-684. The northbound crash happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Exit 6A (Route 22/Route 138) in Goldens Bridge and is causing miles-long delays. There have been multiple other crashes reported amid the snowy, slippery conditions that began early Saturday afternoon when the quick-moving winter storm arrived. Two-Vehicle I-684 Crash Causes Gridlock During Evening Commute
This story has been updated. There was gridlock on a stretch of northbound I-684 after a crash initially took out two lanes. The crash, between a car and pickup truck, occurred just north of the rest area near I-84 during the evening commute on Thursday evening, Sept. 19. The left and middle lanes were closed with the car facing southbound in the northbound lanes. Before the crash scene was cleared just before 7 p.m. stop-and-go delays of two hours stretched back to Route 22/Route 138 (Exit 6A) in Goldens Bridge.

Saw Mill Parkway Stretch, Route 22 Reopen After Crash, Downed Tree
This story has been updated. The southbound lanes of a stretch of the Saw Mill Parkway have reopened after a serious multi-vehicle crash. The crash occurred south of Exit 42 (Railroad Avenue) in Bedford at around 8:30 a.m. Nearby, Route 22 reopened in both directions after a downed tree and wires in the area of Route 138 in Lewisboro. There were also earlier delays on southbound I-684 just before 9 a.m. after a crash just north of Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) in North Salem) that is blocking the right shoulder. This story has been updated. A stretch of I-684 has reopened after a crash involving an overturned dump truck and another vehicle on Thursday morning, Jan. 24. The northbound lanes were closed between Route 35 (Exit 6) in Katonah and Route 22/Route 138 (Exit 6A) in Goldens Bridge, starting at around 9:30 a.m.

The height of the road-rage incident that broke out amid gridlock conditions following multiple crashes Tuesday morning on I-684 was captured on video. Around 8 a.m. Nov. 20, Tuesday, traffic was at a standstill on I-684 southbound following a series of accidents near Route 138 in Goldens Bridge.
