Woman Jumps From Bridge Near Northern Westchester Train Station A woman was injured after jumping from an overpass near a Northern Westchester train station, police said. The incident happened on Sunday evening, June 23, when a woman jumped from the Route 117 overpass and landed in a Metro-North parking lot near the Bedford Hills station, according to the Bedford Police Department.  The woman survived the jump but was injured and taken to the hospital, police said, adding that she suffered broken bones.

The incident began in Mount Kisco when the Westchester County Police's Real Time Crime Center broadcast an alert that a vehicle wanted by the NYPD was operating on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Mount Kisco around 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 6. Officials Announce Upcoming 2-Week Road Closure In Northern Westchester State officials issued an alert about an upcoming two-week-long road closure in Northern Westchester. Route 128 is set to close between Sands Mill Road and Wampus Lakes Drive in North Castle beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The road closure, which is being implemented to facilitate a culvert replacement, will last through Monday, Oct. 3, officials said. Motorists should follow the posted detour using Route 117, Route 120, and Route 22 as an alternate, according to the announcement.

Car Plows Into Northern Westchester Store A car plowed through a Northern Westchester store, injuring three. The incident took place around 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, in Bedford Hills at the Brew & Co. at 532 N. Bedford Road (Route 117), said Sgt. Patricia McGraw with the Bedford Police Department. An elderly driver became confused and drove into the store, according to McGraw.  The injuries were very minor, McGraw said. Route 9A Closure Scheduled There will be weekend lane closures on Route 9A in Westchester. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that from approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, there will be a lane closed in Mount Pleasant between Route 141 and Route 117.
