Person Walks Into Hospital In Hudson Valley With Gunshot Wound, Police Say An investigation is underway after authorities say a person entered a hospital in the Hudson Valley with a gunshot wound. At about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 in Rockland County, the the Orangetown Police Department said it was notified of the male patient that walked into Nyack Hospital with a non-life-threatening wound that allegedly occurred in the village of Nyack.  The incident is currently under investigation by the Orangetown PD Detective Bureau. Hudson Valley Man, 19, 2 Juveniles Nabbed For Hate Crimes, Police Say A 19-year-old Hudson Valley man and two juveniles were nabbed for allegedly shooting gel pellets and shouting anti-Semitic remarks at two women. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, on Lawler Boulevard in Spring Valley. According to Spring Valley Police Det. Sgt. Rony Charles, the two women were walking on Lawler Boulevard when a vehicle drove by and shot an unknown type of projectile at them, striking one.  Charles said the women were not injured but told police the people in the vehicle were shouting anti-Semitic remarks before speeding away. …

SUV Crashes Into Hudson Valley Home An SUV plowed into the front of a Hudson Valley home after being in a crash with a school bus.  The incident occurred in Rockland County on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Laurel Road and Glenside Drive in New City. According to the Clarkstown Police, the SUV struck a Clarkstown Central School District bus while turning left onto Laurel Road.  A preliminary report indicated the SUV was traveling above the speed limit, causing it to veer off the roadway and strike a nearby house, police said. Crash Causes Hours-Long Road Closure In Hudson Valley A serious traffic crash in the Hudson Valley is causing an hours-long road closure. The crash occurred in Rockland County early on Friday, Sept. 13, on Route 45 in Ramapo. According to the Ramapo Police, Orange & Rockland Utilities will close Route 45 at Rensselaer and New Hempstead for the next 8 to 12 hours while working on repairs.  The department is asking drivers to plan an alternative route. 2-Year-Old Struck, Killed By SUV In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after a 2-year-old girl was struck and killed by a van in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, on Calvert Drive in the village of Kaser in Ramapo. According to Ramapo Police Lt. Michael Gannon, responding officers found the child was struck by a 2014 Honda Odyssey and had sustained life-threatening injuries.  The girl was transported to Nyack Hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance and later died from her injuries, Gannon said.
