Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel will not be retired for the death of Martha Moxley in the Belle Haven section of Greenwich in 1975. In a stunning announcement, Connecticut Chief State’s attorney Richard Colangelo said on Friday, Oct. 30, that he would not retry Skakel because he could not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. Maryland police on Monday found the body of Maeve Kennedy Townsend McKean, the 40-year-old granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy, who’d gone missing with her 8-year-old son in Chesapeake Bay late last week.
