Crash Causes Serious Injuries On Busy Hudson Valley Road
A serious Hudson Valley crash left a stretch of a busy roadway temporarily closed and resulted in serious injuries. The incident happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, June 4 around 5:40 p.m., when a serious crash occurred on Stoneleigh Avenue (Route 35) in Carmel. According to Carmel Police, no deaths occurred, but the incident caused serious injuries. More details about the crash have not yet been released. New Update: Capital Region Highway Partially Reopens Following Tractor-Trailer Crash
This story has been updated. A major interstate in the region was shut down in both directions following a tractor-trailer crash that left a person seriously injured. The Schenectady County wreck happened just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, on I-88 in the town Duanesburg. According to New York State Police, a box truck drove off the roadway near exit 24 and went down a steep ravine. The driver was taken to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. Expect Delays: Taconic Parkway Stretch To Be Closed For Repairs
Motorists on the Taconic State Parkway can expect some delays due to a roadway closure in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation said the roadway will be closed along the southbound lanes in Dutchess County between Exit 47 and Exit 45 in the town of Lagrangeville. The road will be closed for repairs beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. through about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. The department said motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 55 and Route 82.
