Several People Rescued After Car Crashes Near Reservoir In Carmel Multiple first responders were able to save several people from serious injury after a car crashed into an embankment near a reservoir in Carmel with the occupants still inside. The crash took place Friday afternoon on Washington Road, off of Route 6, according to officials. Carmel Police were first on the scene and found an occupied vehicle down the embankment. Firefighters Rescue Young Girl From Locked Minivan In Danbury A quick response from the Danbury Fire Department resulted in a happy ending to what had been a scary situation. Fire Department Lt. Nick Cabral distracted a young girl as other firefighters worked to unlock the door of her mother's minivan that she was locked inside of Saturday. "Seemed that little Samantha pushed the lock button as her mother was getting into a different door at a public park," reported the fire department. Engine 22 unlocked the car, and there was no harm to the child.
