Prisoner Charged With Violating Protective Order While Behind Bars In Dutchess County A man behind bars in the region has been charged again for allegedly violating a protective order. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Friday, Oct. 19, at the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in Poughkeepsie. According to Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Capt. Prison Time: Hudson Valley Man Sentenced For Beating Former 'Intimate' Partner A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to criminal contempt for attacking a former "intimate" partner while under a protective order. Orange County resident Gregory Gonzalez, age 56, of Newburgh, was sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 10 to two to four years in prison, the maximum permitted under the law. Ulster County resident Katherine Moreira, 40, of Saugerties, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 23, after Saugerties Police responded to a call for a domestic in progress at the Skyline Drive Apartments in the Town of Saugerties, said Chief Joseph Sinagra. Middletown Man Found Guilty Of Assaulting Same Woman Twice A Middletown man was found guilty of assaulting the same woman twice during a jury trial.  Eric Gilchrist, 40, of Middletown, was found guilty Thursday on two counts of assault and criminal contempt and for having violated a protective order issued for the woman, the Orange County District Attorney's Office said. Poughkeepsie Woman Arrested For Violating Protective Order A Poughkeepsie woman was arrested for violating a protective order after police received a complaint from the victim. Karen A. Rendon, 23, was arrested on Tuesday, after Town of Poughkeepsie Police received notice from the victim that Rendon has come to her residence on Friday, June 22 while the order was in effect, said Capt. Kevin Faber. The investigating officer located Rendon on Tuesday and charged her with felony criminal contempt, he said. She was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash bond or $20,000 bond.
