14-Year-Old Charged With Making Active Shooter 911 Call At Hudson Valley HS, Police Say A 14-year-old boy from the Hudson Valley has been charged with falsely reporting an incident after allegedly calling 911 to report an active shooter at an area high school.  The incident took place in Orange County around 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 at Pine Bush High School in Pine Bush. The teen, from the town of Wallkill, was arrested by the New York State Police after calling Orange County 911 and reporting there was an active shooter inside Pine Bush High School, said Trooper Steven Nevel. The incident took place in Orange County on Wednesday, April 26 at Pine Bush High School at 156 Route 302 in Pine Bush. Area School District To Host Community Forum After Student Overdoses An area school district is hosting a community forum after several students overdosed on drugs. The overdoses took place in Orange County at Pine Bush High School, according to Donna Geidel, interim superintendent of the Pine Bush School District. "Unfortunately, several students were transported to the hospital this week due to drug use," Geidel said in a statement to the public. "The health consequences were serious, but they have recovered and are getting support from their families." Pine Bush HS Grad, College Football Player Roland Smith Dies At 20 Roland LaShain Smith III of Montgomery died on Tuesday, Jan. 30. He was 20. The cause of death was cardiac arrest, which occurred while he was playing basketball, according to a GoFundMe page that has raised more than $10,000. He was born on Nov. 18, 1997 in Astoria Queens.  After moving to Middletown with his family in 2003, Roland attended Truman Moon Elementary School. He then attended Crispell Middle School in Pine Bush, and graduated from Pine Bush High School in 2015. In 2016 Roland began studying Criminal Justice at Hudson Valley Community College where he also played football. He …
