1 Shot To Death In Northern Westchester, Person Of Interest In Custody, Police Say A man found on a city street died from a gunshot wound in Northern Westchester while police say a person of interest is in custody. The incident took place in Peekskill around 4:15 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 29 in the 600 block of John Street. According to Peekskill Police Chief Leo Dylewski, officers responded to John Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old man who was immediately given medical aid by officers, the chief said.
