A Hudson Valley man has been charged with alleged murder for using several kitchen knives to stab a man to death who was lying on the street following a fight.
Orange County resident Cameron Williams, age 25, of New Windsor, was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 6, for the Sunday, Oct. 13 incident in the city of Newburgh.
According to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler, he was remanded to jail in place of $1,000,000 cash bail, $3,000,000 fully secured bond, and $10,000,000 partially secured bond.

With the votes counted, Democratic incumbent Pat Ryan defeated Republican challenger Alison Esposito in New York's 18th Congressional District, according to the New York State Board of Elections.
The 18th District includes all of Orange County and most of Dutchess and Ulster counties. The district consists of Newburgh, Beacon, Kingston, and Poughkeepsie.
According to the NYS Board of Elections, Ryan beat Esposito 194,237 votes to Esposito's 149,002 votes.

Fatal Hudson Valley Crash: 26-Year-Old ID'd As Victim
A two-vehicle crash in the region claimed the life of one person and injured another.
The collision occurred in Orange County at 11:15 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, on Route 32 in Newburgh.
According to the town of Newburgh Police Lt. Matthew Nadolny, a preliminary investigation determined that a 2007 Ford Econoline van, operated by Leonel Marquez-Martinez, age 36, of Wallkill, was traveling southbound on Route 32.
Nadolny said a 2015 Chevrolet Volt operated by Marcus Bennett, age 26, of Montgomery, was traveling northbound when the two crashed.

A woman has been sentenced to six months in jail for the double-fatal, hit-and-run crash in the region.
Orange County resident Angela Fischl, age 25, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty to two counts of leaving the scene of an incident resulting in death on Tuesday, Oct. 15,
Following her plea, she was sentenced to five years probation and six months in the Ulster County Jail. Her driver’s license was also revoked, said Ulster County District Attorney Emmanuel Nneji.

Two brothers who killed a Hudson Valley man who shot him 12 times and left him lying in his driveway to be found by a sanitation worker have been sentenced to years in prison.
The incident occurred in Ulster County in Jan. 2023 in Plattekill.

According to City of Newburgh Chief of Staff Mike Neppl, detectives arrested Marcos Luna-Dedios, a 34-year-old City of Newburgh resident, on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

A Hudson Valley woman was charged with alleged DWI after police received complaints of a dangerous diver.
The incident occurred in Orange County around 4 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, in the town of Newburgh on N. Pierpont Avenue.
According to Lt. Matthew Nadolny of the Newburgh Police, officers located and stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Michelle R. Shader, age 45, of Newburgh.
Shader, who refused to provide a sample of her blood for testing, was arrested and charged with DWI and other vehicle traffic laws, Nadolny said.
