The New York State Thruway Authority announced the reopening of a newly renovated service area in Hudson Valley. The service area in Rockland County in Sloatsburg is on I-87 northbound between Exit 15A and Exit 16. ‘Tis the season for cracking down on drunk driving. Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and lasting through Monday, Jan. 1, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that the New York State Police would join in on the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. The New York State Thruway Authority has announced the start of a $9.7 million pavement improvement project on the New York State Thruway (I-87) spanning Orange and Ulster counties. It could soon cost more to drive on the New York State Thruway, and that includes the Tappan Zee Bridge.
