1 Shot To Death In Northern Westchester, Person Of Interest In Custody, Police Say A man found on a city street died from a gunshot wound in Northern Westchester while police say a person of interest is in custody. The incident took place in Peekskill around 4:15 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 29 in the 600 block of John Street. According to Peekskill Police Chief Leo Dylewski, officers responded to John Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old man who was immediately given medical aid by officers, the chief said. Hudson Valley Man Remembered As 'Ace Lefty' For High School Baseball Team Dies At Age 46 A Hudson Valley resident who was known as a skilled baseball player and a loving member of his family has died at the age of 46. Dutchess County resident Michael John Dorozynski, of Pine Plains, died at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, according to his obituary. Dorozynski was born in Poughkeepsie. "Michael graduated from Stissing Mt Jr/Sr High School where he was an 'Ace' lefty pitcher for the Bombers," his obituary reads. According to his obituary, he had a love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Dorozynski is also remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle. …

The incident took around 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at 108th Street and Horace Harding Expressway, according to the NYPD. When police arrived on the scene they found 46-year-old Jamal Artis, shot in the torso in a Chevy Impala, the NYPD said. Artis was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.
