Cause Of Death Released For Popular Actor, 50, Who Grew Up In Region
The cause of death has been released for a popular actor who was born and grew up in the region.
The death of Alec Musser, age 50, was announced last weekend on Instagram by his fiancée Paige Press, who lived with Musser in Del Mar, California, north of San Diego.
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Officer, Musser died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Sandra Feuerstein, US District Judge of the Eastern District of New York on Long Island, died Friday morning, April 9 after she was struck by a vehicle in Boca Raton, Florida, according to authorities.

Covid-19: Hudson Valley Infection Rate On Rise; New Breakdown Of Cases By County
The positive COVID-19 infection rate in New York is on the rise, though the Hudson Valley saw less than 1,000 new cases, according to the latest data released by the state Department of Health.
According to the state Department of Health, the average seven-day COVID-19 infection rate rose in the Hudson Valley for the third straight day, up from 4.49 percent on Friday, March 12 to 4.62 percent on Sunday, March 14, the highest rate in the nation, ahead of Long Island (4.40 percent), and New York City (4.15 percent).

New York is seeing an improvement in its COVID-19 vaccination program, but the state finds itself with greater demand than the federal government can supply.
Statewide, a total of 1,304,050 first doses have been distributed to New York, with 1,210,339 (93 percent) having already been administered. There have been 564,600 second doses delivered, with 166,640 completed.
In the Hudson Valley, the region has received a total of 179,475 doses, with 122,017 administered. The 68 percent of vaccines administered is among the lowest percentage in the state.
