Route 9A Closure Scheduled There will be weekend lane closures on Route 9A in Westchester. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that from approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, there will be a lane closed in Mount Pleasant between Route 141 and Route 117. Officials said that motorists can expect delays, and have been advised to seek alternate routes, when possible. Flaggers will be in the area to assist with the flow of traffic.

The crash took place around 3 p.m. in Mount Pleasant, state police said. Two people, including a Westchester County police officer, were injured in the crash. Both were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The closure began at Lakeview Avenue.

Pleasant Valley resident Christian Walcyzk has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the stabbing death in May last year of Daniel Siino, a 28-year-old father who lived in Hartsdale.
