The crash took place around 2:10 p.m., Saturday, April 10 in Northern Westchester on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Austin Canady, of South Salem, was killed around 7:39 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, following a crash on Route 202 in the area of Yorkhill Road, said Yorktown Police Lt. John Delulio. According to Delulio, Canady was driving a 2019 Harley Davidson westbound on Route 202 when he collided with a 34-year-old Yorktown Heights driver who was exiting Yorkhill Road in a 2019 Honda Pilot. It happened just after 9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 on the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway near Lincoln Avenue in Mount Vernon. A motorcyclist involved in the crash was thrown from the vehicle into the southbound lanes. Two cars were also involved and no other injuries were reported. Westchester Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Taconic Parkway Crash A Westchester man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway  in Putnam County. It happened on Monday, Aug. 17 at around 1:30 p.m. in the town of Kent. Robert J. Costabile, 69, of Valhalla, was operating a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle on the northbound side near Hortontown Hill Road when, for unknown reasons, was unable to negotiate a curve and lost control before leaving the roadway, state police said. Costabile succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. This investigation remains ongoing.

Jon Morey, of Amenia, was killed around 6:37 p.m., Saturday, July 27, after failing to negotiate a turn on Mitchelltown Road in the town of Sharon, said the Connecticut State Police. According to a state police investigation, Morey was ejected from his motorcycle and hit a wire rope guardrail.  His passenger, Tanja Kraft, of Pine Plains, received minor injuries. Area Man ID'd As Motorcyclist Killed In Route 17 Crash A 35-year-old area man has been identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash on Sunday, June 9. Anthony D. Santiago of Garnerville was killed around 4:05 p.m., on Route 17 in Orange County, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. The crash took place when Santiago lost control near Exit 127 in Chester and struck the northern guardrail, Nevel said.
