Westchester's Kate Snow To Step Away From NBC Nightly News Anchor Chair After 8 Years
After over eight years, Westchester resident Kate Snow will no longer be anchoring NBC Nightly News on Sundays.
Snow, a Larchmont resident, announced that she would be stepping away from the program during the NBC Nightly News broadcast on Sunday, Feb. 18, saying that the job was "a privilege."
During her announcement, Snow said she would instead be focusing her attention on the weekday program, NBC News Daily, which she also anchors.

Dana Forman, a second-grade teacher in Larchmont, and her 16-year-old daughter, Sasha, co-authored the children's book "The Hoop Troop," which centers on two third-graders learning how to dance with a hoop and overcoming their self-doubt to do so, according to Forman.

A Westchester County man has been found guilty in the murder-for-hire killing of his own father, who was shot to death while sitting in a McDonald’s drive-thru.
Anthony Zottola, age 44, of Larchmont, was convicted by a federal jury in Brooklyn Wednesday, Oct. 19, of murder-for-hire conspiracy in the October 2018 killing of 71-year-old Sylvester Zottola in the Bronx.
The man who Zottola hired to pull the trigger, 36-year-old Himen Ross, of the Bronx, was also convicted Wednesday following the pair’s six-week trial, according to the US Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District.

A Westchester County resident who was known as a devoted father, husband, and friend has died at the age of 41.
Enda Corcoran, of Mamaroneck, died on Friday, Sept. 9, according to his obituary.
He was born to Marie Brophy and the late John Corcoran in Tullamore, Ireland, and eventually found his way to Riverdale, New York, his obituary said.

Westchester County Woman Wins $1M Lottery Prize
A Westchester County resident has claimed a $1 million Mega Millions lottery prize.
Peggy Spear, of Mount Vernon, claimed the second prize for matching the first five numbers in the Jan. 28 Mega Millions Drawing, the New York Lottery announced on Wednesday, July 6.
The winning numbers were: 03 16 25 44 55 Mega Ball 13, the lottery said.
Spear received her prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $651,000 after required withholdings, NY Lottery announced.
The ticket was purchased at Larchmont Pharmacy, which is located at 2141 Palmer Ave. in Larchmont, the lottery said.
Westchester Man Driving Drunk Becomes Combative With Troopers, Police Say
A 29-year-old man is facing felony charges after police said he drove while intoxicated in Westchester County and shoved a trooper against a patrol car, causing damage.
Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-95 in Larchmont for vehicle and traffic violations at about 11:10 p.m. on Friday, June 24, according to New York State Police.
The driver, identified as Philip Thompson, of New Rochelle, was found to be intoxicated, police said.
When police tried to take Thompson into custody, he resisted arrest and shoved a trooper toward traffic against the patrol car, authorities reported.

James “Dylan” Karczewski, of Larchmont, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 9, according to his obituary.

Polpettina, in Larchmont, closed its door in June, after facing two battles, one with the landlord, and one with the effects of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
