Six years have passed since Megan Dyer-Maclean was found dead along an old railroad bed in upstate New York and police are no closer to catching her killer. The Rensselaer County mother of two was 31 years old when a friend discovered her body in a wooded area behind her Johnsonville home, located off Route 67, in June 2018. For the fourth time this year, security screeners stopped a man from carrying a loaded gun onto a plane at Albany International Airport. Agents made the discovery during a routine x-ray screening of the traveler’s carry-on bag Tuesday, Aug. 15, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced. A massive fire that destroyed a country club in the region days before Christmas was sparked by a portable heater, investigators determined. Emergency crews in Rensselaer County were called just before midnight on Friday, Dec. 23, with reports of a structure fire at the Hoosick Falls Country Club, located on Richmond Avenue, according to Hoosick Falls Police.
