The body of a New York woman has finally been recovered months after she and two other climbers were killed in an avalanche in Washington State. The incident happened on Feb. 19, in the central Cascade Mountains near Colchuck Lake, located 70 miles east of Seattle. A 60-year-old New York woman who was among three climbers killed in an avalanche in Washington State has now been identified. The incident happened Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19, in the central Cascade Mountains near Colchuck Lake, located 70 miles east of Seattle, according to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office. New York City resident Jeannie Lee, of Bayside, Queens, was confirmed as being among the dead.
