Pawling Woman Accepted Thousands In Welfare Payments While Employed A 49-year-old woman was arrested by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office for welfare fraud for allegedly accepting public assistance while employed. Janet Rodriguez, of Pawling, was arrested  Tuesday, July 2, following an investigating by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division, in conjunction with the Dutchess County Department of Community & Family Services, said Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Capt.
