Six Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle I-84 Crash Six people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on a stretch of I-84. The crash took place around 9 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28, on I-84 in Danbury, said James Gagliardo, public information officer for the Danbury Fire Department.  The crash, which required the extrication of three people from one vehicle, took place between Exits 4 and 5, Gagliardo said. NY State Announces Completion Of I-84 Paving Project A multi-million dollar resurfacing project along one of the Hudson Valley’s busiest stretches of I-84 has been completed. The New York State Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday, Dec. 8 that an $11 million project to resurface a 7.7-mile stretch of the interstate between Dutchess and Putnam counties has been completed. I-84 Stretch Reopens After Crash Involving Overturned Tractor-Trailer A crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer caused the hours-long closure of a stretch of I-84. The closure was on the eastbound side near Exit 4 in Danbury on Tuesday morning, Oct. 13. The crash occurred just after 6:30 a.m. and the lanes remain closed during the accident investigation by Connecticut State Police through about 10:30 a.m., when the lanes reopened.
