Lane Closure Expected For Stretch Of I-84 In Hudson Valley
Officials announced a planned lane closure for a stretch of I-84 in the Hudson Valley. The New York State Department of Transportation said motorists in Dutchess and Putnam counties should expect one lane of I-84 eastbound to close between Exit 50 (Lime Kiln Road) in East Fishkill and Exit 68 (I-684) in Southeast. The lane closure is set to for Monday, Aug. 8 through Friday, Aug. 12, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to facilitate bridge maintenance activities, officials said.

The mother of one of the two men who were killed during an apparent road rage altercation on I-84 in the Hudson Valley has spoken out, according to a new report from CBS News. Dutchess County residents 22-year-old Fabian Tirado, of Wappingers Falls, and 38-year-old Mark Hall, of Holmes, were involved in the road rage incident in the Putnam County town of Kent on Saturday, July 2, police said. A Hudson Valley man was carjacked and robbed at gunpoint while attempting to sell his car. The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Newburgh on Tuesday, May 17. The carjacking took place after a 21-year-old man from Fishkill had advertised his 2018 Dodge Charger for sale on Facebook Marketplace, said Chief Donald Campbell, of the town of Newburgh Police. One lane of the eastbound highway is expected to close in Putnam County, between the Connecticut state line and Exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) in the Town of Kent. Woman Nabbed Driving Drunk On I-84 With Two Kids In Vehicle, Police Say
A 30-year-old woman from the Hudson Valley was busted for allegedly drinking and driving the wrong way on I-84 with children in the car, state police said. Shortly after 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, New York State Police troopers from the Greenville barracks in Orange County were dispatched to a stretch of I-84 near exit 1 in Wawayanda, where there was a report of a wrong-way driver. Police are asking the public for help with information regarding a 4-vehicle crash that caused life-threatening injuries to one passenger and closed I-84 for hours. The crash took place around 2:15 p.m., Monday, Nov. 8, on I-84 in Danbury, said the Connecticut State Police.
