It happened at around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, July 27 on a stretch of I-84 in Orange County. Lane Reductions Expected Along I-84 in Dutchess County Motorists in Dutchess County can expect lane reductions on I-84 beginning next week. The State Department of Transportation is advising Dutchess County drivers that I-84 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Exit 44 (Route 52) in the Town of Fishkill and Exit 46 (Route 9) in the Town of East Fishkill. Road Closure Alert: I-84 Construction Work To Limit Lanes In Hudson Valley Construction work on I-84 in the Hudson Valley will reduce the highway to one lane in each direction on weeknights for several months. The state Department of Transportation is advising Orange County motorists to expect one lane to close along I-84 in each direction between Exit 36 (I-87) and Exit 39 (Route 9W) in the town of Newburgh on weeknights beginning Monday, June 12.
