Homicide Fugitive Nabbed In Hudson Valley, Police Say A woman who has been on the run for allegedly killing her boyfriend was nabbed in the region. Stephanie M. Vance, age 26, of the city of Philadelphia in Neshoba County, Mississippi, was apprehended by Dutchess County Sheriff's deputies in the town of Pleasant Valley on Thursday, Jan. 11 on a homicide warrant from the State of Mississippi. Man Assaults Victim With Hammer In Domestic Dispute, Police Say A 34-year-old man was arrested after assaulting another person with a hammer during a domestic dispute, according to the New York State Police. James M. Macisaac of Pine Plains was arrested Sunday for the attack with took place on Friday, July 13, in Pine Plains, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Troopers were alerted to the attack when nurses at Northern Dutchess Hospital reported a possible victim of domestic violence, Hicks said. Dutchess Man Stole Kayak, Paddles Valued At $1.2K, Police Say An investigation by state police led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Hyde Park man for stealing a kayak and paddles valued at $1,200. State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Christopher Kane for criminal possession of stolen property, a Class E felony, on Tuesday, June 26. On April 13, troopers responded to Fiddlers Bridge Road in the town of Clinton for a report of a stolen kayak and paddles.  An investigation led to the discovery of Kane possessing the stolen items, police said.
